I {heart} Stephanie & Bo...and Wolf Mountain Vineyards!

From tearing up during the father-daughter dance, getting swept away in the romance of the sunset, appreciating all of the bohemian-chic details, and feeling the emotion of tight friendships and close family...I love this couple and couldn't have imagined their day being more perfect. We had some light rain falling before the ceremony and shortly after the mist rose over the mountains, the sun burned purple as it set below the horizon. We had tons of hilarious moments...the father of the groom kept throwing grapes at me {I'm glad he has bad aim} and of course,the conga line across the street at midnight ! xo

anthropologie makes wedding dresses?

No one loves the Anthropologie/Urban Outfitters brand more than me. Seriously. Well, I think I just heard angels sing on high, because they announced recently that they will be unveiling their wedding collection in Spring of 2011. {do we have to wait this lllooooooong?} Now there is a wedding collection for every type of bride, and specifically one for the bohemian chic!!!

The line will begin online sales first before branching into the storefronts with their yet-to-be-determined inventory. Dresses will be created with the Anthropologie label, and run from $1,000 to $5,000. 'Bridester' goods that will be available through the new wedding collection will include registery gifts, bridestermaids dresses, jewelry and other accessories, possibly flowers, planning, and travel services...maybe even, as New York magazine suggests, 'Urban Outfitter bikes with branded toilet paper trailing off the back...um, I would be more than amped to shoot that wedding! xo

The thing about bohemian chic is that there really aren't any rules. :) The idea is to go with what moves you. I'm a huge fan of simple lines in a wedding dress and this long Anita dress is the perfect blend of sexy and boho. Because of the amazing cut and purity in the silk of the dress, you don't need a lot of bling {your ring is it} and maybe a delicate rose-gold cuff. Beautifully complimenting the bride is a similar silhouette in the Kimon dress for bridesmaids both by Elizabeth and James. With all the influx of color, I can so appreciate getting back to demure with blush tones and color accents. Talk about going beyond the one-wear strategy of a wedding day...the bride's rose-gold Jeffrey Campbell "Jaya" and the bmaids' Michael Kors gladiators will kick it long after the nuptuals. I have been loving bib necklaces, and this one, crafted by EmersonMade is both feminine and funky. What an awesome gift! The mason jar cupcakes looking positively yummy, the vintage birdcages, and the freshly-picked tablescape tie the knot on the 'I do's for me! Oh...and maybe with a little help from the dashing groom in his linen suit, skinny tie, and whimsical little boutonnieres made of fabric. mmmm, wedding planning anyone? xo

Surfin' Love...

Who needs waves when you've got your honey? This couple is super laid-back and always ready to chill. We thought there was no better way of helping them escape the hustle of wedding planning than setting up some down time on the beach. We started with a couple of cold ones for the happy couple, and in no time, they had cuddled into our session for some QT in the sand and surf. There's nothing like a day in the water in my opinion, and I think Stephanie and Bo would agree. :) We all had a great time. I'm amp...ed for their big day coming up. a bed...in a river...

I'm still trying to gage the electricity I feel in the room when I think of this shoot. Yes, it was a lot of work, took all of the efforts of team Lytle foto, and didn't come without injury-two bee stings to be exact-but it. was. worth. every. bit. This totally fit my clients' personalities and I think they may have even had a little fun. :) We sipped mango juice bellinis, splashed around, and basically were loving life. Thank you, thank you, thank you to my fabulous Tara for helping me style and create it all, Brandon for helping me build and make it happen, and thank YOU oh-so-amazing Leigh + Brian...you guys are rock stars for trusting in my crazy ideas. Alex + Chad = a LOVEly garden wedding

The ironic thing about this wedding was that unlike most brides and grooms who meet us through referrals, Alex stumbled across our business card in her desk at work. How funny is that!? Alex and Chad were fabulously fun and really knew how to make their big day intimate. A beautiful mix of tears and laughter, this wedding day was certainly a warm and fuzzy! Thank you guys for allowing us to capture the memories! Mwwwah! xo

Love, love, love this couple and their fabulous ideas! She is so Hepburn and he is such a gentleman. Her fantastic {size 3!} platform peep-toe, red shoes were the icing on the cake, or should I say...the sugar in the tea. It was a beautiful 70-something degrees day and the breezy sunshine was an absolute asset to the romance of their little party in the field. Thank you guys for allowing me to capture these moments for you. I'm stoked for the big day! xo
