Dumpster Swimming Pools?
What does this have to do with weddings and photography? Well, I'll get to that. :) Anyone who knows me, knows that I can go off on a tangent every once in a {frequent} while. If conversation can be a diversion from the norm, can't construction do the same? A NYC-based company, Macro Sea, is a development company completing projects across the US and Europe to encourage the phrase 'reduce. reuse. recycle.' in a whole new way. Kudos! Atlanta's urbanscape houses one of the strip malls that the 'Sea has chosen to transform . Among the metamorphoses: dumpster swimming pools, green spaces, cabanas, and markets under the semi-roofs of these shopping anti-meccas. All I can say is WOW, about-face! Now, take that one step further...imagine these pools adorned for a wedding, the patio areas set for 200, lights strung intimately encompassing the guests...the ideas could be endless. I guess that's the kind of forward-thinking that Macro Sea might be proud of. xo

Kraft Paper is Kool!
What could be kooler than kraft paper invitations for your wedding? I couldn't resist sharing this amazing wedding invitation design from Jill Malek! Genius to include metallic inks in the floral artwork for that juxtaposition of boho and chic! :) Feast your eyes on them...I know I did. xo

OH so bohemian chic!
I say, rule number ONE when planning your wedding...make it uniquely you. These ideas are just some that I think would look oh-so-fabulous-fantastic-boho-chic YOU! Yellow is such a neutral that options are endless when it comes to accessorizing and complimenting. When I see things like this together...well, I'm nothing short of inspired. xo

A Girl Can Dream...
...so if I had somewhere around $4,000 to $8,000 to spend on a pair of shoes, these would be MINE! All MINE! Balenciaga's spring 2010 collection by Nicolas Ghesquiere is sick kick-butt magic! In the paraphrase of Rose Feller: 'no matter how much weight you gain or lose, no matter what the clothes look like-your shoes will always fit'. Well said. In that case, I could justify the purchase, right? (By the way...the shots are Mario Sorrenti for W Magazine.) :) xo
