Snow Day in Georgia!

Because snow is not something that we see a lot of 'round this here parts', the ground frosted in white goodness is something to behold! I couldn't resist grabbing my camera for a few quick shots of one of my favorite subjects...an old barn/house in Georgia. This particular house seems to hold mystery and intrigue behind its walls. I would venture to say that it even looks creepy and a bit menacing sometimes, but with a blanket of fluffy snow on it's roof and the Georgia mountains spreading into the distance...it just looks majestic today. Happy winter days to everyone! I hope you're staying warm and safe. xo

Lytle{foto}'s new alternative!

It's taken me a while to swallow the reality of Polaroid's demise, but, as they say in the Bible..."the truth will set you free". In any case, preparing for the NOT Wedding event coming at the end of the month has made me revisit the reality of my unique offering: the Polaroid add-in. It has been super popular with my clients and I have continued to go to leaps and bounds to obtain the film for my shoots. Now it seems I will explore an alternative to Polaroid-at least until they get the Impossible Project accomplished. :) I'm SUPER excited to 'unveil' the alternative at the NOT, and of course, ask for everyone's continued support of Save Polaroid! xo

The Not Wedding 2010...featuring The Savage Garden

Danny, The Savage Garden's master designer, has a degree in furniture design and originally trained as a studio woodworker before getting into the floral side of design. He was raised in the graceful rolling hills of Kentucky, where his mother, an artist and avid gardener, inspired seasonal art projects that often combined natural elements from the garden and surrounding countryside with remnants of fabric and paper from her studio. He loves creating beautiful events, but when someone connects emotionally with my designs, that's when Danny finds his work's true fulfillment.

At The Savage Garden they believe in living life to the fullest, so they don't cut corners. Genuine passion and creative flair combine to create floral designs that intertwine color, nature and style to achieve something truly beautiful, always original, and often outrageous.

Today, his floral and event designs evoke the rhythms of nature and their seasonal relevance. Lush blends of flowers, branches, fruits and vegetables as well as rich textiles, ribbons, and unique "found" items combine to achieve something both sensual and evocative.

Contact The Savage Garden to schedule a consultation.

The Not Wedding 2010...featuring A Divine Event

Some food is so good it tastes, well, sinful. At A Divine Event, sinful fare is the specialty of every day and it has been for more than a decade.

Featuring breathtaking design, smooth organization and top-notch service, A Divine Event is an affair spurred equally by divine inspiration and a devilish desire to create food that is wickedly delicious.

The food is where this catering company truly stands out. They believe that if food isn’t treacherously tasty and mischievously mouthwatering…what’s the point? We agree!

With Sandra Moyer at the helm as the chef de cuisine, menus at A Divine Event are always crafted with a focus on fresh, seasonal foods (much of it local) and with dishes capable of shining in a catered environment.

A Divine Event can make your next wedding reception, special occasion or corporate meeting scandalously scrumptious. Now that’s an occasion we would NOT miss!

The Not Wedding 2010...featuring Mirabel Press

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. The same can be said for a beautiful wedding invitation, designed with care and hand-crafted with pride.

Owners of Mirabel Press, Kristen and Cody Lekberg, know that to be true. They dreamed of owning a letterpress print shop and creating invitations, stationary, cards and more that would beautifully represent people and special events. As artists, they were charmed by the detail and character produced by antique letterpress machines that made visibly deep impressions unparalleled by other forms of printing.

Now with four vintage presses, Mirabel creates unique graphic designs on plush 100% cotton paper. AND they individually hand print each piece the old-fashioned way!

From weddings to birth announcements to parties to business and personal correspondence, Mirabel’s work is a labor of love that carries a distinctive significance.

When you get a piece from Mirabel and share it with friends, family, or acquaintances, it represents the true essence of you and will effortlessly say all that you want it to.
