{NOT} your average headshots...

No one says that your headshots have to be boring! I'm thrilled to have had some bohemian chic freedom to shoot this talented chick in an element of art. Cristina Perry of Cristina Perry Events loves combining the antique and vintage with the contemporary and modern to create truly unique eventscapes. In consideration of her very professional approach with creative design, we wanted to capture her in an element that makes her feel comfortable and inspired. I have to admit that the areas in the Virginia Highlands/Little Five Points Atlanta inspire me too! Thanks Cristina, for wanting something above the ordinary. xo

The NOT Wedding 2010...the inspiration boards

Above are the inspiration boards for The NOT Wedding 2010 coming up this Sunday evening! Can you believe the fabulous-ness? The first image shows the ideas for the Enchanted Garden environment...complete with candied apples and jewels; the designer will have you thinking you've stepped out of 2010 and into a storybook.

The second is the vision for Global Fusion where old world meets new, where cultures collide into a melody of color! The third image depicts the Southern Glam aesthetic. Surpassing pearls and lace with innovative and fashion-forward sophistication, this environment will be push antiquated traditions out and beckon in the true glamour of a Southern wedding.

The final image displays the inspirations behind Vintage Chic. Mixing antiques with modern flair for your wedding can bring the true story of YOUR love alive before your guests. The whole concept of weddings is changing dramatically, and brides are finding the freedom to be themselves in all aspects of their big day. That is what the NOT Wedding is all about. May the event be a springboard to expressing your individualism on your wedding day and beyond!

Lytle{foto}'s new alternative!

It's taken me a while to swallow the reality of Polaroid's demise, but, as they say in the Bible..."the truth will set you free". In any case, preparing for the NOT Wedding event coming at the end of the month has made me revisit the reality of my unique offering: the Polaroid add-in. It has been super popular with my clients and I have continued to go to leaps and bounds to obtain the film for my shoots. Now it seems I will explore an alternative to Polaroid-at least until they get the Impossible Project accomplished. :) I'm SUPER excited to 'unveil' the alternative at the NOT, and of course, ask for everyone's continued support of Save Polaroid! xo

The Not Wedding 2010...featuring Heidi Elnora

The bridal salon for this year's NotWedding is by Heidi Elnora.

An Alabama native who has patterned her life after fashion; heidi was a Project Runway designer who is currently listed in Town & Country Weddings as one of "The Best Dresses" in the nation.

A businesswoman who owns 2 stores and is carried in 3 others, Heidi and her expert gown artisans create wedding gowns that make women feel beautiful on the most important day of their life. This is done by taking care of their every want and need, making sure that they are perfectly styled from head to toe.

Heidi Elnora is unique because EVERY single gown is custom designed for that particular bride. Gown artisans in Alabama and Georgia make each gown by hand. heidi always says, "No two brides are alike, so why should their gowns be?" Read more of Heidi's thoughts and get all the latest details on her blog.

Heidi loves her work and it shows in all the beads, bodices, ruffles and bows!

The Not Wedding 2010...featuring A Divine Event

Some food is so good it tastes, well, sinful. At A Divine Event, sinful fare is the specialty of every day and it has been for more than a decade.

Featuring breathtaking design, smooth organization and top-notch service, A Divine Event is an affair spurred equally by divine inspiration and a devilish desire to create food that is wickedly delicious.

The food is where this catering company truly stands out. They believe that if food isn’t treacherously tasty and mischievously mouthwatering…what’s the point? We agree!

With Sandra Moyer at the helm as the chef de cuisine, menus at A Divine Event are always crafted with a focus on fresh, seasonal foods (much of it local) and with dishes capable of shining in a catered environment.

A Divine Event can make your next wedding reception, special occasion or corporate meeting scandalously scrumptious. Now that’s an occasion we would NOT miss!

The Not Wedding 2010...

Lytle foto is PSYCHED to be a part of The NotWedding 2010. As the event's photographer, we'll have front row seats to this exclusive bridal event. They are all amazing, talented, and innovative brains who are busting their butts to make this year's show the best yet!

So what is the NotWedding?

The NotWedding is a unique bridal event in which a handful of the city’s most talented vendors come together to stage a one-of-a-kind wedding. Complete with an unforgettable ceremony, an over the top first dance, a cake cutting, and reception, The NotWedding has become a killer alternative to a bridal show that promotes an atmosphere that inspires brides towards creative options rather than cookie-cutter weddings.

Scheduled for Sunday, February 28, 2010 at the Foundry at Puritan Mill, The NotWedding hand-selects vendors to perform their services as they would at a real wedding, and "wedding guests" (i.e. Brides-to-be) get to hear the music, taste the cakes, touch the dresses... while enjoying food, drinks, dancing and loads of free stuff.

Three Guys and a Chick

I seriously love handmade ANYTHING...desserts (because one must always allow for indulgence), Etsy (because a girl's gotta shop) and Three Guys and a Chick (because your baby's drool will never look cuter)! AND, the owner/designer just happens to be my sister-in-law. :) She specializes in many things handmade for baby and toddler: bibs, burpcloths, dresses, blankets, etc. Fancy your whim for antique bicycles, rocker baby skulls, monkeys, your college mascot, or anything in between. Speaking of happy shopping...check it out! xo
