a tree and some tea {e} session...

Love, love, love this couple and their fabulous ideas! She is so Hepburn and he is such a gentleman. Her fantastic {size 3!} platform peep-toe, red shoes were the icing on the cake, or should I say...the sugar in the tea. It was a beautiful 70-something degrees day and the breezy sunshine was an absolute asset to the romance of their little party in the field. Thank you guys for allowing me to capture these moments for you. I'm stoked for the big day! xo

celebrating a legend...

I know I'm a bit late on writing this...but I feel compelled to celebrate the life and legend that was Alexander McQueen. The British designer hails from my original heritage {both of my parents are British} and I am only one among millions who place his genuis craftmanship and conceptual thinking on a pedestal. Sarah Jessica Parker, Katie Holmes, Victoria Beckham, Kate Moss, Sandra Bullock, and Rhianna are just some of the celebrities who have pledged an allegiance to his talents and worn his duds across red carpets near and far. Tragically, he ended his life and career in early February of this year. Along with all threads of his creations, his 2010 spring/summer collection, with fantastics like the armadillo heels pictured above, will live on in our closets...and our hearts. xo

a perfect day for a picnic {e} session...

Have you ever had a great idea, planned it to detail, and then had everything turn out better than you could have imagined? Well, this was one of those times for me. Not only are the bride and groom-to-be just absolute dolls, but we had beautiful weather among a string of rainy days here in North Georgia. It was a perfect day for a picnic...and a perfect day for a sweet {e} session as well. ;) Thanks guys! Can't wait for the big day! xo

reading for the fashionista...

Whatever you call your style...yours is sure to be "defined and refined" by this staple style guide written by Amanda Brooks. Not only has she acted as creative director and muse of Tuleh, but she has also been a regular contributor to Vogue, the New York Times Magazine, Today, and The Early Show. This chickie certainly knows her personal style and identifies with others'. Bedazzle your mind with style options from bohemian to high fashion, classic to street. The coolest thing about her writing and fashion advice is that she acknowledges and embraces style on a budget as well, challenging one to shop thrift stores and flea markets. I love that she includes several pictures of my favorite style icons of today-the Olsen twins. They always have something so unique to their look! The book comes alive with photographs old and new of style icons, celebrities of yesteryear and today, family quotes, and intimate interviews. You {heart} my style? Well, I {heart} yours! xo

{NOT} your average headshots...

No one says that your headshots have to be boring! I'm thrilled to have had some bohemian chic freedom to shoot this talented chick in an element of art. Cristina Perry of Cristina Perry Events loves combining the antique and vintage with the contemporary and modern to create truly unique eventscapes. In consideration of her very professional approach with creative design, we wanted to capture her in an element that makes her feel comfortable and inspired. I have to admit that the areas in the Virginia Highlands/Little Five Points Atlanta inspire me too! Thanks Cristina, for wanting something above the ordinary. xo
