Welcome to the World: Our beautiful baby Grey!

After the months and days anticipating our baby boy, my husband and I welcomed our Christmas miracle blessing into the world on December 22nd. Weighing a whopping 10 lbs, 1 oz, he was no easy task, but one look equaled a love like I have never known and any discomforts are all worth it. Motherhood is the MOST amazing thing I have ever felt. He is truly the most beautiful thing I've ever laid eyes on, and I look forward to my new role as mommy to our little buddy Grey. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and Blessing to All. xo

A little belated Halloween fun...

I'm having a great time catching up with some personal work on top of business as I pretend to enjoy a modified "house arrest" dictated by my doctor over the last few days. Now that I'm feeling better, I think I have the thumbs up to get cracking with heavier duty work now. Pregnancy has sure thrown me for some interesting loops, but I'll do whatever it takes to avoid best-rest and ensure a happy, healthy little one in December. :) xo

He is the MAN!

...and holds the key to my heart. A little personal entry to introduce you to my nearest and dearest, my hubby, Brandon. It is with his help, that my dreams are possible, and everyday I am thankful for him. Everyone should be married to their soul mate, and I feel totally blessed to be one of the ones who is. One of my favorite movie lines comes from "Good Will Hunting", and the scene pictures Robin Williams explaining love and relationships as this: '...you're not perfect, and neither is she. The questions isn't whether you are perfect, the question is whether you are perfect for eachother'. Here's to loving all the indiosyncrisies of the perfect one for you. xo

Where's Waldo?

Something about this wall was intriguing from the beginning, but as I sat with camera in hand, preparing to capture it's texture and color, my Waldo look-alike strutted across my field of view. Perfect timing for a quick motion shot with interest. It's another manic Monday, but thank God for my camera! xo

Happy Birthday USA!

The fireworks display in Nashville, TN...rated number 2 in the nation last year. After last night, I would say that they are absolutely still in the running for numero uno. I'll be interested to see where they fall. This tremendous show took place on the riverfront with tens of thousands of excited onlookers. My husband and I sat perched atop my Tahoe in the parking lot of LP Field to catch the lights, and after the three hour wait, we were not disappointed with the 30 minute extravaganza. It was simply breathtaking, and the introduction to the show featured close to 1100 people joining in to sing "God Bless the USA"...brings tears to my eyes. xo

What in the World?

Isn't nature amazing?
What is this bug? They are all over Nashville, TN this time of year, but I can't say I've ever seen them in the Atlanta area. I was stopped in my tracks by his super brilliant colors, all in a tiny body that measures less than an inch. Pretty cool for science geeks like me. I would love to hear your thoughts if you've seen them before. For all I know, they may be a garden menace, but they sure are funkadelic...like the fireworks we will all be watching tonight. HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!

The above logo was created for my dear sister-in-law who is starting a new and creative venture constructing designer fabrics like Amy Butler's into fabulous things like bibs and burp cloths for baby among other specialty hand-sewn items. The Hollie Files

As my blog begins to take shape, I believe it is important to share a bit of myself with you, hence, the beginning of the Hollie Files. Really, quite simply, I'm just going to use the second part of my daily blog to post a personal photo or two and explain the reasoning for my posting. Some will be funny, some just cute, some obnoxious (because they're always fun), and hopefully, some inspiring. Today, I want to introduce you to my dog, Sydney. She turned 10 years old in May, but runs around with the energy of a toddler after cotton candy and soda pop. She's amazing, and I love her like she's my own born. She is a rescued cruelty case pup and I have to say, was the only good thing that resulted from a relationship with a college boyfriend of mine. Here's the thing, she has about a million names: Syd, Boog-Boog, Boo, Yella Girl, Muffin, Nibblet...anyone have any new nicknames for her? Maybe the photos will inspire you...
